Michèle Dubrocard

Michèle Dubrocard is a French Magistrate currently seconded to the European Data Protection Supervisor (EDPS) as a Legal Officer. She participates in the work of the UNESCO expert group on the use of AI by judicial operators. She represented EDPS in the negotiations of the Council of Europe Convention on AI, Democracy and the Rule of Law. Previously, she served in key roles such as National Seconded Expert in the European Parliament Secretariat of the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee, Counsellor Justice at the French Permanent Representation in Brussels, Assistant Director of the Department of Human Rights at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Head of Office at the French Ministry of Justice. Her expertise spans artificial intelligence, data protection, fundamental rights, and criminal law.
